Ben Sharp is a native of Gainesville, Florida. He began working as a scientific glassmaker in 1997, where he assisted in various projects including a job for NASA. In 1998 he moved to artistic glass making. He worked color production for Bullseye Glass Company in Portland, Oregon, and Equipment fabrication at Wet Dog Studios in New Orleans. Ben has taught classes at Corning Museum of glass and the Belmont Art Center in Pensacola, Florida. Ben has a BFA from Alfred University, and Currently is a glass studio technician at the GoggleWorks Center for the Arts in Reading, Pa.
